Big 12 showdowns will be on full display in Week 12 of the 2015 college football season. Although the College Football Playoff committee might not be too impressed with this conference’s elite teams, America can still enjoy some great Big 12 football this weekend.

The one-loss Baylor Bears and undefeated Oklahoma State Cowboys will meet up in this showdown, and the TCU Horned Frogs and Oklahoma Sooners will meet up in the other one.

It is very clear that the Bears’ offense is not as potent without Seth Russell, but let’s not forget that the QB wasn’t the only lethal option on the field. Corey Coleman is arguably the best WR in the country and running back Shock Linwood has already rushed for over 1,000 yards.

The Cowboys might not have a Heisman contender making the throws or running wild on the ground, but they do rock one of the best offenses in the country, as they are putting up 43 points per game. Baylor, of course, is leading the country in that department with 55 points per game.

Oklahoma State QB Mason Rudolph isn’t getting the Heisman treatment, but he has still managed to throw for 3,161 passing yards and 18 touchdowns. He also dropped a five-TD performance on the Horned Frogs.

I would love to see a Big 12 school make the playoff this year, especially after the committee threw a Big 12 snubfest last season, but I am going with Coleman and the Bears in this one. That very well could end this conference’s shot at the playoff.

After all, if all of the elite teams just beat up on one another, who is the committee supposed to pick.

Side note: There is no Big 12 championship game.

PREDICTION: Bears 52, Cowboys 41
