TV Schedule: Friday, Dec. 4, 7:00 p.m. ET, ESPN2

Stadium: Ford Field

Line: Bowling Green (-12.5)

This might not be the most exciting game (on paper) entering the week, and it certainly doesn’t have College Football Playoff implications, but it is still championship football, folks.

Bowling Green enters the Marathon MAC Football Championship with a 9-3 record overall and a conference record of 7-1. It also enters this clash with one of the most lethal offenses in the country. The Falcons are averaging 44 points per contest, which is good enough for fourth (tied) in the sport.

Just in case you didn’t know, QB Matt Johnson is a machine, as he has the most passing yards in the nation and the second most touchdowns.

The same thing cannot be said about the Northern Illinois Huskies, who are averaging 10 less points per game in the offensive department. Both teams have been challenged throughout the season, which should have them more than ready for this championship game and bowl season as well.

Northern Illinois took on the Ohio State Buckeyes early on in 2015, and it only went down by seven points.

The Falcons played teams like the Tennessee Volunteers and Memphis Tigers early on, but unfortunately lost both games. They did, however, knock off the Maryland Terrapins and Purdue Boilermakers — for all it’s worth.

For the purposes of this battle, I am going with the team that lights up the scoreboard, which is Bowling Green, of course.

PREDICTION: Falcons 42, Huskies 28
