Derrick Henry, as expected, stormed onto the college football scene in 2015. As a result, his Alabama Crimson Tide will partake in the College Football Playoff, and he should take his talents to the NFL once the season comes to an end.

There’s not much more Henry can do at the college level. This season, he rushed for 1,986 yards and 23 touchdowns, which was good enough to win him the Heisman. Coming off his best season of his career, his stock is not going to get any higher than it is right now. He is a junior, after all.

BOWL SEASON: Bowl Game Picks, Score Predictions

In the process of being a complete workhorse for arguably the best team in the country, Alabama compiled a 12-1 record overall, holds the No. 2 ranking in the nation, won the SEC championship and, once again, will partake in the playoff. Take Henry out of the equation, and Alabama’s season likely doesn’t end in such grand fashion.

It remains to be seen how high Henry will go in the draft (if he declares, of course), but it appears that he isn’t even being regarded as the top running back in the draft.

Adding a national championship to his resume would be the perfect way to end an already amazing season, and it certainly wouldn’t hurt Henry’s stock one bit.
