Yes, it’s insanely early to start making predictions for 2016. Certainly some of these will be way off base, but if 2015 taught us anything it’s that the wild and the weird happen every day in college football.
5. Deshaun Watson Will Win The Heisman Trophy
Getty ImagesWatson gets better every year, and his performance in the National Championship game was stellar. If he doesn't win in 2016 the Heisman Committee needs to be fired.
4. Ole Miss Will Win The SEC Championship
Getty ImagesOle MIss has been Alabama's Achilles heel for two seasons now. They also improve every season, and their recruiting class is one of the best in the SEC. With Heisman winner Derrick Henry defecting to the pros and their QB gone, Alabama might struggle a bit in 2016. The 2016 game is also at home for the Rebels, which is yet another point in their favor.
3. Baylor Will Dominate The Big 12
Getty ImagesDespite injuries to key players last season, the Bears still managed to win games. If they are back to full strength in 2016 they should win the Big 12 handily.
2. Clemson Will Be Back In The Playoff
Getty ImagesClemson stands a good chance to be in the playoff again in 2016 -- that is, if they can get by the Florida State Seminoles. Which transitions nicely into my next prediction -- see what I did there?
1. Michigan, Florida State and Tennessee Will All Be Major Contenders In 2016
Getty ImagesFSU and Clemson will most likely duke it out for the ACC Atlantic, while Tennessee should easily win the SEC East. If Michigan can get by Ohio State -- which they almost did this season -- they could be Big 10 champions.
