14. Vanderbilt Commodores

The Commodores are at a disadvantage with having the most difficult admission requirements in the SEC. That being said, Derek Mason was able to sign a top-60 class which is rather impressive.

13. Missouri Tigers

The Tigers were so bad on offense last season, I don't have words to describe it. With Barry Odom taking the reins from Gary Pinkel, he made sure to focus on skill position players which should pay dividends in a couple years.

12. Mississippi State Bulldogs

One of the biggest surprises of National Signing Day was five-star defensive end Jeffrey Simmons flipping to the Bulldogs. It was a shock to the recruiting world and it allowed Dan Mullen to complete a top-40 class.

11. Arkansas Razorbacks

Bret Bielema focused a lot of his recruiting in the trenches. Of the Razorbacks' 20 signees, eight play either offensive or defensive line. Bielema understands that in order to compete with Alabama, it begins with the hog mollies.

10. Kentucky Wildcats

Mark Stoops threw together a top-30 class which is rather impressive at a school known for its basketball team. There's still a long way to go for the Wildcats, but the arrow is definitely pointed upwards.

9. South Carolina Gamecocks

Will Muschamp did an amazing job in the little time that he had to put together a top-25 class for the Gamecocks. The one thing he did well while at Florida was recruit, but he'll need to improve his head coaching skills to have success at South Carolina.

8. Texas A&M Aggies

Linebacker Aaron Hansford was the final piece to the puzzle for the Aggies. Despite some issues involving the departures of Kyler Murray and Kyle Allen, Kevin Sumlin was able to put together a solid class.

Butch Jones got two huge commitments on National Signing Day. Four-star corner Nigel Warrior and the top JUCO player in the nation defensive end Jonathan Kongbo both chose the Volunteers which vaulted them into a top-15 class.

5. Georgia Bulldogs

Things didn't go as well as they could've for Kirby Smart, but he was still able to get five-star athlete Mecole Hardman to stay home and play for the Bulldogs. With five-star quarterback Jacob Eason and tight end Isacc Nauta, Georgia has a solid offensive nucleus to build with for the next four years.

The Tigers came out of nowhere on National Signing Day to sign five-star prospect Derrick Brown. Gus Malzahn also got a playmaker on the outside in receiver Nate Craig-Myers.

Despite some negative attention through past recruiting violations, Hugh Freeze was able to put together a potentially program changing class. With quarterback Shea Patterson leading the way, the Rebels could threaten Alabama within the next few seasons.

1. Alabama Crimson Tide

For the sixth straight season, Nick Saban was able to claim the No. 1 recruiting class in the nation. If you thought this year's team was good, expect the Crimson Tide to be in the hunt for a national title for the foreseeable future.
