Kicker Becca Longo Makes History as First Woman on Scholarship at Division II or Higher

An accomplished Arizona high school kicker signed a national letter of intent on Thursday, and with that Becca Longo became the first female to earn a scholarship at the Division II level or higher.

She’s a story of overcoming many obstacles along the way that should inspire girls everywhere to pursue their dreams no matter how unorthodox they may seem.

And here’s footage of Longo putting pen to paper on the national letter of intent.

This is a groundbreaking achievement which could serve as the catalyst to open doors for young women around the country in breaking down gender barriers.
