Tennessee Stops Georgia Tech on 2-Point Attempt to Win in Double OT

By Anthony Blake

It’s been a theme with Butch Jones coached Tennessee teams, but the chaos reached an all new level on Monday night against Georgia Tech.

The Volunteers erased a 14-point fourth-quarter deficit to eventually score an unlikely double-overtime victory over the Yellow Jackets.

Outgained 655 to 369 yards and outpossessed 41:27 to just 18:33 in regulation, the Vols still managed to pull off an improbable win with some clutch play down the stretch.

From the blocked field goal attempt to end regulation to the two-point conversion stop in double OT, this Vols team loves to live on the edge.
