You may have missed it today, but the Notre Dame Fighting Irish shocked the 2004 USC Trojans today, with a huge 9-0 win. The game was oddly not televised, but the Irish shocked the Trojans, and denied them of the 2004 National Championship.

One of the big tasks for new Notre Dame head coach Brian Kelly is to revamp the offense. Under Charlie Weis, the Irish were a pass-happy offense, but that’s all. They were too one-dimensional. As new head coach, Kelly hopes to improve the offensive attack, and with that, build a strong running game.

Notre Dame’s miraculous run for the Men’s Lacrosse National Championship fell just short, as the Duke Blue Devils beat the Fighting Irish, 6-5, in overtime.

During the next few weeks, Leprechaun Legion will preview the 2010 by examining each position. The first position we will examine is the quarterback position.
