Doc Sadler has done it again, and this one could buy him at least another year in the eyes of many Husker fans. Don’t underestimate this victory. Indiana has been reeling lately, with this being their third straight loss.

Husker fans finally got something to cheer about after an ugly beginning to their inaugural B1G 10 season. A close loss to Wisconsin was nice, but Husker fans want victories. Tonight, they got that.

Bo Spencer led the Huskers with 23 points, including four three pointers, although it took him twelve attempts. Toney McCray had a nice game, recording 11 points, three rebounds, and three assists.

Dylan Talley nearly had a double double tonight, scoring 10 points and pulling down nine rebounds. Jorge Diaz also had a nice game scoring wise with 10 points. I’d like to see more than four rebounds for him, but it is what it is, and there’s not much to complain about after a victory like that tonight.

Nebraska was aided by 14 Indiana turnovers, and a defense that held the Hoosiers well below their season average. Indiana also played sub-par defense, as Nebraska is down near the bottom in every offensive statistical category in the conference, but managed 19 points more than their conference average (70 vs 51).

Indiana had a chance to win the game at the end, but Jordan Hulls heave from in front of his bench did not fall, and Nebraska students stormed the court.

Doc Sadler is continuing to prove that his team can stay in games, and got a badly needed victory tonight. Let’s hope that is the first of many to come.
