Mario Williams

Mario Williams

Mario Williams can play in a 4-3 or a 3-4 scheme.  Williams was a #1 overall pick in the 2006 NFL Draft.  Mario Williams is a pass rusher that opposing left tackles do not enjoy preparing for.

Williams can be a disruptive pass rushing force when healthy.  Williams missed a good majority of the 2011 campaign.  New England may opt to make a big play by signing Williams to a long term deal at pass rusher.  New England has a quarterback and an offensive line that can compete for one more year despite showing some early signs of aging.  Adding a pass rusher like Mario Williams improves the Patriots defense drastically.  Belichick is in the playoff hunt each year so it would be hard for Williams to say no to New England.
