Just when you thought the Giants’ problems were starting to get better, more players are expected to miss this Sunday’s game against the Seattle Seahawks.

In this Friday’s injury report, the Giants have officially ruled out center David Baas and labeled Brandon Jacobs and Justin Tuck as doubtful.

Jacobs has not practiced all week and Tuck was held out of today’s session after suffering a setback with his groin on Thursday.

If Jacobs does not play, DJ Ware is ready to step up in his absence. “The goal is 100 yards, but we’ll see what happens,” he said.

Kevin Boothe will start in Baas’ absence. In replacing Baas last Sunday, Boothe made a huge mistake when he missed a block that turned into a lost fumble by Eli Manning. He was able to get it together after that, but in his experience at center I’ve not been impressed.

The Giants have to stay focused and make sure they come away with a victory. With the second half of their schedule being so tough, they can’t afford any setbacks against lesser opponents.
