Looks like it didn’t take long for the trash talking to begin; New York Giants defensive lineman Justin Tuck acknowledged the Atlanta Falcons’ dirty reputation, calling them “dirt bags.”

“Yeah we’ve seen it. We know they have that quote-unquote ‘reputation,’” Tuck told reporters. “Most people, you would call them dirt bags.”

Ralph Vacchiano of the NY Daily News reported the story.

“But it is what it is. We got to make sure we do our job and if we are doing our job well. Then they will be upset and they will be trying to do things to get us off our game, and we’ve got to take that as a compliment.”

The Giants and Falcons meet next Sunday afternoon in the wild card round of the playoffs, so it is no surprise to hear the Giants chirping already. Will the Falcons chirp back? Stay tuned.
