This morning in the NY Daily News, an article was run where a number of New York Jets players complained about Mark Sanchez and placed their vote for trading him away in favor of Peyton Manning.

But they did so anonymously.

As you see in the link above, one player called him lazy, and another said it is a no-brainer that you bring in Peyton in lieu of Sanchez.

Nick Mangold of the Jets has come out and said that the story is simply not true, but at the same time called his teammates cowards for not manning up to those comments.

Justin Tuck, defensive captain of the New York Giants, agrees.

"unnamed sources" = cowards. Man up

The culprit behind all of this has to be Rex Ryan, who has perpetuated this with his constant comments to the media. He has never shied away from the microphone, so how can he expect his players to?

3 Rants to “Justin Tuck Calls Anonymous New York Jets Players ...”

  1. ThePowerWire says:

I’m glad someone said something. It was ridiculous to read that article and see nothing but anonymous sources. Those guys should man up and say what they need to say without hiding beyond anonymity. Props to Justin Tuck for calling them out. Linked at my site http://www.thepowerwire.com

    • Jeff Shull says:

Yea he definitely is not the only one calling them out. It is absolutely cowardly to hide by anonymity and those players need to come out and say who they are or that locker room will not be fixed.

  2. Pocket_rocket says:

They will not come out. The Jets already let one receiver go for voicing his opinion about Sanchez. Rex needs to take a hard look at Sanchez, the offensive scheme, and the defense for that matter. he needs to ask himself is he putting his team in the best position to win. He also needs to stop the cursing, threats, and childish rants and realize that his employees are men. Talk to them like men. Order them around as a leader speaking to men. Respect them like men and maybe they will respect what it means to, as Rex says, “Play like a Jet.” Rex is coaching like a spoil child and the team is an extension of the coach, is playing and emoting like children.

Sanchez needs to work harder if he is half stepping but the team needs to do the same and be a team. Sanchez needs to realize that the NFL is blue collar country at its best. The NFL is not the beaches of California and requires hard work at the craft. He is declining in his development by comparison to his draft class needs to take a hard look in the mirror and question himself with some fact finding answers.
