San Francisco 49ers Were Rooting for New York Giants to Beat Green Bay Packers
After the San Francisco 49ers pulled off the incredible victory over the favored New Orleans Saints, several of their players admitted they were rooting for the New York Giants to beat the Green Bay Packers.
The link in Donte Whitner’s tweet is to a video of him interviewing with NFL network, admitting he watched the Giants-Packers game and was rooting for the Giants to win.
He said it is because they have already faced the Giants and they wanted to play the game at home.
Tight end Vernon Davis and some of the other 49ers were feeling the same way, and Giants safety Antrel Rolle had a word of caution for the bay area team.
Once again the Giants are doing a lot of talking this week and expect to go up to San Francisco and win, but they should be careful. Jim Harbaugh is a terrific motivator and does not need any more help with bulletin board material from the Giants.
Obviously that isn’t stopping the Giants from talking. It should be a terrific game on Sunday.
