Super Bowl XLVI : Rant Sports Writers Pick The New York Giants By a 2-1 Margin Over The New England Patriots
“Super Bowl XLVI has been talked about as the rematch that everyone has wanted to see ever since that epic Giants come-back in 2008 to beat the undefeated Patriots.
Now just 4 years later the tables seem to be turned. The Patriots, who were once heavy favorites, now seem to be the underdogs and the Giants, who were once underdogs, now seem to be the favorites.
Every expert in the nation seems to be picking the Giants to win this game, and every Giants player is also picking their own team to win also, which is exactly why I'm picking the Patriots.
After a great playoff run by the Giants their players seem to be getting too cocky, Antrel Rolle said that he expects to win this Sunday, which is exactly what the Patriots were saying before Super Bowl XLII and it ultimately cost them as the Giants were extra motivated to beat the so-called unbeatable Patriots.
Now it seems as if, at least in the media, that the Giants are unbeatable which is not good news for the Giants. Bill Belichick and Tom Brady will be out to avenge the 2008 loss and Belichick, one of the greatest head coaches of all time, has had two weeks to prepare for the Giants great defense and he will have the Patriots ready.
Tom Brady does not need any extra motivation for this type of game but the Giants have already given it to him with the bulletin board material by Rolle, and I'm sure there will be more to come by the cocky Giants players this week, and by factoring in the revenge factor previously mentioned it all sets up for Brady to play one of the greatest games of his career and lead the Patriots to another Super Bowl victory.”

Some writers are missing I think.
Lars,
You are correct that “some” writers are missing, but if you go to the last slide where i stated, “as only 15 writers took the time to respond,” I would also state and infer that is just a fraction of RS writers and does not accurately reflect the site’s official pick for the game. The writer’s who did participate are the ones I’m referring too.
I’m not sure if you got the post in the Rant Sports Bloggers group asking all RS writers to participate, but it was there.
Hope this makes sense, and what is your SB pick?
New England 28-Giants 23. I won’t both with the rest.
