St. Louis Rams’ head coach Steve Spagnuolo has named A.J. Feeley the starting quarterback for the Rams’ first preseason game against the Minnesota Vikings. But don’t worry, coach Spagnuolo wants to get 1st round pick and recent millionaire Sam Bradford into the game in time to work with the rest of the Rams starters.
It will be exciting for Rams fans, who’ve had to suffer through the last few years of an offense mostly led by Marc Bulger. Fans just want to see the new franchise QB on the field (and maybe have to work for his $50 million guaranteed).
Whether Bradford is the Week 1 starter or not, Spagnuolo has said that Bradford will be the starter at some point throughout the season. For Bradford, it all starts Saturday night.
RB Steven Jackson most likely will not play for multiple reasons. The Rams need to save him for the regular season, and cannot risk an injury, as such has been a part of Jackson’s past. Saturdays game will also give RB’s Kenneth Darby, Chris Ogbonnaya, and Keith Toston some work as they are all vying for the #2 RB job.
