The Heater:

Watch how good David Hawthorne is playing.  He played middle linebacker last season and now he’s filling in for Leroy Hill at outside linebacker.  The “Heater” is very impressive and gives 110% on every play.  Very fun to watch and who knows how long he’ll be a Seahawk.

Defensive Line:

It’s almost a completely new set of starters on the D-line.  Newcomer Chris Clemons and Red Bryant are looking like this Defensive Ends at the start of the season.    The big middle consists of Brandon Mebane and former Titan Kevin Vickerson (acquired during the draft).  This new front four should create pressure.  Also, look for Aaron Curry to put his hand down on a few snaps to rush the passer.

Charlie Whitehurst:

Matt Hasselbeck will get a few snaps under center against Tennessee but look for a lot of Charlie Whitehurst.  I’m looking forward to seeing what this guy can do.  He’s had an ok camp thus far and I hope he can handle managing the game and moving the team downfield.

Wide Receivers:

Here’s the list.  Deion Branch, Mike Williams, Deon Butler, TJ Houshmandzadeh, Golden Tate and Ben Obomanu.  All of these guys have had flashes during camp, let’s see how they do with a defender from another team on them.  I think Seahawknation is going to fall in love with Golden by the end of the night.

Pete Carroll:

New Coach, new system, new attitude, new team……new Seahawks era.  Let’s see how they conduct business under the Hawks new coach.
