Texans Suffer Disappointing Loss to Cowboys

The Texans lost to the Cowboys today in a game where they just couldn’t seem to get it going. They looked good on offense at the start of drives but couldn’t finish them off. Dallas exploited Houston’s secondary with passes to Roy Williams and Jason Witten. The Texans couldn’t get any pressure on Tony Romo and as a result they got picked apart in the passing game for a third straight week. At this rate the Texans are going to set a new record for passing yards allowed in a season. Something must be done to shore up this secondary. Kubiak is starting a rookie Kareem Jackson on one side and a 2nd year undersized corner on the other side with an undersized 2nd year player at nickel. Its just embarrassing to see veteran QB’s like Romo, McNabb and Manning play pitch and catch with their receivers against these clueless corners. The Texans have to sign a veteran or trade for a good corner or something. Its just disgusting. On the positive side Arian Foster rushed for over 100 yards on the day and looked pretty solid against Dallas’ defense. The biggest problem with the Texans on offense though is their offensive line. They couldn’t protect Schaub against the Cowboy’s pass rush and they couldn’t get enough push to get a single yard when they had 3 tries on the 1 yard line. If the Texans continue to use smallish offensive linemen they will continue to get bullied at the line of scrimmage by larger, stronger defensive fronts that teams like Dallas, Baltimore and the Jets have. Its sad to see your team one yard away from scoring a TD and cutting the lead to 7 and they can’t do it with 4 tries. Its just sad. The Texans got whooped today and they deserved to lose with a performance like that. I hope this is a wake up call to them to get their s*** straight against Oakland next week.[picappgallerysingle id="9858188"]
