QB Trent Edwards claimed by Jaguars; Jets were interested.
Recently cut Buffalo Bills QB Trent Edwards was awarded to the Jacksonville Jaguars this afternoon, a day after he was cut.
The Jaguars have a big hole at the QB position, with David Garrard playing terribly to start the season, the other team that put in a waiver claim for the QB, was in fact the New York Jets, not much else is known, if they were signing him to pick his brain for the upcoming game Sunday, or they felt he had some promise as a backup QB. Either way, he is now a Jaguar.
Other roster news, Hard Knock and Preseason Favorite RB Chauncy Washington was signed off the Jets practice squad, and was placed on the St.Louis Rams 53 Man roster, many felt Washington should have been the Jets 3rd RB on the roster, but was cut on the final day of roster cuts in August, and signed to the practice squad a day later. Washington has to be on the Rams roster for 3 days, otherwise he is sent back to the Jets Practice squad, best of luck Chauncy.
