Packers: Burnett Out for Season

Monday, Packers coach Mike McCarthy announced in his news conference that Packers rookie safety Morgan Burnett will miss the rest of the season with a torn ACL suffered in Sunday’s 28-26 victory over the Lions.

Rookie safety Burnett, the third-round pick out of Georgia Tech, was chosen to be the starter replacing injured Atari Bigby who is on physically unable to perform list. Bigby will be eligible to play in week 7 against the Vikings on Oct. 24 at Lambeau Field.
