Carolina Panthers WR arrested for DWI
Carolina Panthers WR Dwayne Jarrett has been arrested for DWI. Jarrett was arrested early Tuesday morning when he was stopped by Charlotte Mecklenburg Police. This is Jarrett’s second DWI arrest, the first coming in March 2008. Jarrett has long been considered to be a bust in Carolina.
A Carolina Panther blog reported last week that Jarrett’s agent has asked the Panthers to release Jarrett at the end of the season if the Panthers continue not to utilize him. Little did the Carolina Panther receiver or his agent realize that his demands to be released might very well be realized sooner than later. Since this is Jarrett’s second arrest for DWI, he will most likely be facing a 4 game suspension. Since Jarrett is not an integral part of the Panthers offense, the team could simply release the receiver.
