St. Louis Rams Surrender Lead In Final Minute, Tampa Bay Wins

The St. Louis Rams (3-4) didn’t give up a touchdown until the final :10 seconds of the game when Josh Freeman rolled right and found Cadillac Williams in the end-zone for a 1-yard TD pass to give Tampa Bay (4-2) the victory.

The late TD pass to Cadillac was Tampa Bay’s only touchdown the Rams defense allowed all game.  Conner Barth added four field goals for the Bucs who trailed 17-6 at the half.

After throwing two first half touchdowns of 5 yards to Danny Amendola and 2 yards to Michael Hoomanawanui, Sam Bradford and the Rams offense went dormant in the 2nd half.  Steven Jackson became the Rams’ all-time leading rusher before things came unraveled offensively for St. Louis.  Jackson finished with 110 yards on 22 carries.

St. Louis had four possessions and four punts in the final two quarters, and their defense suffered from it being on the field for most of the half.  Bradford finished 13 of 26 for 126 yards.  He threw no interceptions and was sacked once.

The Rams host Carolina in week 8 who got their first win of the season 23-20 over San Francisco.
