Donte’ Stallworth to return in Week 9; provides Ravens with another threat in the passing game
According to Mike Florio of ProFootballTalk.com, Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Donte’ Stallworth will be back on the field for Week 9 when the team takes on the Miami Dolphins. Stallworth is recovering from a broken foot suffered during a preseason game against the New York Giants and has yet to play with the Ravens in 2010.
The passing game has quickly emerged for the Ravens over the last few weeks. Since Week 3, Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco has averaged 249.8 yards per game and thrown nine touchdowns compared to just one interception. Along with Derrick Mason, Flacco has already benefited from the additions of Anquan Boldin and T.J. Houshmandzadeh. With the return of Stallworth, Baltimore could be even more dangerous on offense considering what he brings to the table as a deep threat.
Stallworth has not played since 2008 after missing all of last season due to a suspension. In 95 career games, he’s caught 296 passes for 4,383 yards and 32 touchdowns.
