In this edition of the Joyner’s breakdown, he takes a look at the offensive line and running backs from a passing game perspective. Apparently a big theme in this series is that whichever team you think has the advantage may be deceiving you. The Jets won the first two matchups, including the wide receivers in part 1, which was a pretty big upset.
This one is a bit of an upset going the other way. The Jets are known for their offensive line play and good running backs, but from a passing game perspective, the Giants have the edge according to the numbers. Of course, it helps that they’ve got a more accomplished quarterback, but any rate, the Giants win their first matchup to get this series back to 2-1.
We’ll see how the rest of the series shakes out in the next few days.
