RantSports.com 2010 Power Rankings for Week 13
RantSports.com’s Power Rankings are up for week 13, and the consensus top three teams seem to be a common three on most power rankings across the web.
Most websites have the Falcons, Jets and Patriots in some order among the top three. RantSports has Atlanta on top with the Pats second, Jets third. At this point in the season, those teams are the lone 9-2 teams remaining, so they are arguably the best three teams in football.
This upcoming Monday night matchup is going to have a big say in where those two AFC East rivals are ranked next week and the rest of the season. That’s probably not what members of those two teams really care about, but bragging rights are always fun.
A Jets victory would give them a virtual two game in the division by virtue of having swept the two head-to-head matchups. If the Jets can pull off the sweep, they’ll have the inside track at a first round bye and home field advantage throughout the playoffs.
Needless to say, it should be a hell of a matchup on Monday.
