The Giants keep getting good news this week as some of their injured players have returned to practice. O’Hara was able to do individual drills, Diehl worked a little with the first time line, and Smith ran routes on the scout team as well as caught passes in individual drills.

Steve Smith is still a long shot to start against the Redskins, but there is a good chance Diehl and O’Hara can play this weekend. Diehl has been working with the team in the team portion of practice and O’Hara is close to doing so. If O’Hara can get any work in with the offensive line look for him to start on Sunday.

Osi Umenyiora says he feels the best he has felt all season and was a full participant in today’s practice, as was Aaron Ross who was dealing with a minor back problem after the Jags game.

Will Blackmon, Hakeem Nicks, and Shawn Andrews were no-shows at practice. It is looking more and more like Andrews will miss another game as ESPN”s Ohm Youngmusik reported Tom Coughlin saying there is more to his back problem than just the muscle.

Nicks got good news from the doctor last night, should be able to start conditioning soon and practice next week—aiming for return against Minnesota next weekend but will definitely be back by Eagles game December 19.
