Asking My Eagles Writers & Fans: What Has Been Your Favorite Moment of the 2010 Season?
Asking my Eagles writers & fans: What has been your favorite moment of the Eagles’ 2010 season?
The Monday Night massacre against the Washington Redskins was one of the greatest regular season games of my lifetime. But I never thought we would beat Peyton Manning and the Colts. Asante Samuel’s interception to win the game was extremely clutch and possibly saved our season.
Luther Broughton, Former Philadelphia Eagles Tight End, 1999-2000:
Easily lighting up the Redskins on Monday night football. Do I even have to explain why? That was unreal… like playing Madden on beginner level.
Shaun Young, 2009 Pro Football’s Ultimate Fan Association Inductee:
My favorite moment up to this point was probably Vick to Jackson opening play against Washington. Watching and hearing the info of Landry and Hall on DeSean pregame, then he just blistered Landry to open the game.
Geoff Crawley, Eagles Writer:
My favorite Eagles moment is a tie between the “B button” Vick spin against the Lions and the Bomb to DeSean Jackson to open the second Redskins game.
Mike Burke, Eagles Writer:
LeSean McCoy’s touchdown run against the Giants. It was a 4th and 1 situation where Michael Vick could barely handle the football and then McCoy breaks off a 50 yard score to regain the lead in the fourth quarter? Come on, it doesn’t get much better then that.
Michael Remington, Eagles Writer:
The 59 point / 6 Touchdown performance from Vick against Washington was nothing short of amazing. Ive never seen anything like it.
Cody Swartz, Eagles Writer:
DeSean Jackson’s 88 yard TD catch against the Redskins because it set the tone for what was by far the best game of the season for the Eagles. The Eagles didn’t just beat the Redskins; they embarrassed them. And it showed the world just how dangerous of a weapon Michael Vick can be when he is at the top of his game.
Tim Morris, Eagles Fan & Dodgers Central Writer:
I haven’t seen a lot of games but I’d have to say my favorite was a play that didn’t even count and actually hurt one of the players but it was such an awesome play I can’t forget it. It was the play where Vick got hurt and it ended up being a holding play but it was just amazing.
Brandon Kiser, Eagles Fan:
Favorite moment was the first offensive play of the Redskins game. Monday Night Football, division rival, not a better way to start that game.
Clark Miller, Eagles Fan:
The 59-28 win over the Redskins on Monday Night Football was easily my favorite moment of the season. It showed me just how much potential this team has. It was a blowout over a division rival and our former starting QB, Donovan McNabb.
Brett Derr, Eagles Fan:
My favorite Eagles’ moment of the season was LeSean McCoy’s 50 yard touchdown run against the New York Giants. It was fourth down and we needed a first because we were trailing. The Giants loaded up the box and we called the perfect play – sweep left. McCoy was off to the races. The skinning of the Redskins is a tough moment to top, but we needed this game. This was a great moment because it was against our big division rival who was also in first place. I’m sure I will have a new favorite moment after we stomp Dallas twice.
Ryan Hibbard, Eagles Fan:
The Asante Samuel pick of Peyton Manning really stands out. This was a huge momentum changer for the season. 4-4 is a far cry from 5-3.
