Minnesota Vikings rookie QB Joe Webb gets Favre-d
You had to see this one coming, Minnesota Vikings QB Joe Webb has been stripped of his chance to start this evening’s game against the Chicago Bears as Brett Favre is suddenly going to become the starter in tonight’s game. This has to be a disturbing and frustrating situation for Webb, who practiced all week in preparation of his first career start.
Favre’s status was upgraded from out to questionable earlier tonight, and then he was seen on the field tonight in the middle of heavy snowfall in Minnesota throwing the football. Minutes ago, Favre’s status was upgraded from questionable to active and shortly after 7pm EST, it was announced that Favre was named the starter for tonight’s game.
This is just another questionable move, wondering why the Vikings would add Favre to the starting lineup with the team out of the playoffs and RB Adrian Peterson being designated as inactive for tonight’s game.
The snow is coming down hard in Minnesota and this should be an interesting game.
