Falcons RB Michael Turner nominated for Fed Ex Ground Player of the Year
Atlanta Falcons running back Michael Turner is one of three finalists for Fed Ex Ground Player of the Year–with the other two finalists being Houston Texans running back Arian Foster and Kansas City Chiefs running back Jamaal Charles.
Turner played a key role in helping the Falcons earn the No. 1 seed throughout the playoffs and led the NFC with 1,371 rushing yards while finding the end zone 12 times. He also crossed the 100-yard mark seven times.
Turner has displayed some impressive performances for the Falcons this season–including a three-touchdown performance against the Carolina Panthers in Week 14. With a tough matchup coming up against the Green Bay Packers in the Divisional round of the playoffs, Atlanta hopes Turner takes advantage of a defense allowing over 114 rushing yards per game.
Falcons fans can vote for Turner at NFL.com/FedEx up until January 28 at 9:00 p.m.
