Report: Ravens close to contract extension for John Harbaugh

According to the team’s site, the Baltimore Ravens are close to finalizing a contract extension for head coach John Harbaugh. He signed a four-year deal with the team in 2008 and has led the Ravens to the playoffs in each of his first three seasons as head coach.

Before joining the Ravens, Harbaugh spent 10 seasons as the special teams coordinator and defensive backs coach with the Philadelphia Eagles. Harbaugh is 32-16 over his first three seasons as head coach for Baltimore and 4-3 in the playoffs. 2010 marked Harbaugh’s best record after Baltimore finished 12-4, but they fell to the Pittsburgh Steelers in the Divisional round of the playoffs.
