DeSean Jackson Recruiting Raiders Cornerback Nnamdi Asomugha at 2011 Pro Bowl
Reports have indicated that Eagles wide receiver DeSean Jackson is busy recruiting Oakland Raiders’ cornerback Nnamdi Asomugha at the 2011 Pro Bowl.
“I talked to Nnamdi,” Jackson said. “I said, ‘Man, come on, Nnamdi, we need you to come sign with us,’ because if we had him and Asante, oh, my God. That’s very dangerous.”
I completely agree with Jackson. Asomugha is the best, or second best, cornerback in the National Football League.
Last season, he allowed 13 completions on 33 pass attempts. They went for 205 yards and zero touchdowns.
He didn’t pick off a pass, but when you allow 15 receiving yards per game, you’re not going to make interceptions because teams don’t throw to you.
If the Eagles signed Asomugha, it would be the biggest free agent signing by the Eagles since Terrell Owens.
