Aaron Rodgers to Face Patriots Running Back Danny Woodhead in Next Round of Madden ’12 Cover Voting
Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers advanced another week closer to securing the cover of Madden ’12—and the “curse” that goes with it—by convincingly beating Rams quarterback Sam Bradford. Of the 323,177 votes cast, Rodgers secured 76 percent.
His next opponent?
Patriots running back Danny Woodhead.
The shifty and diminutive Woodhead has taken down Rams running back Steven Jackson and Giants receiver Hakeem Nicks in consecutive rounds to get to the quarterfinals.
Rodgers also beat Lions defensive tackle Ndamakung Suh in the first round.
The winner of Rodgers-Woodhead will face the winner of Chiefs running back Jamaal Charles and Browns running back Peyton Hillis in the semi-finals. On the other side of the bracket, Eagles quarterback Michael Vick will take on 49ers linebacker Patrick Willis and Saints quarterback Drew Brees faces Vikings running back Adrian Peterson.
Fans have from April 4 to April 11 to vote on the quarterfinal matchups.
The winner will be announced on ESPN’s SportsNation on April 26 after voting in the finals have concluded.
