Packers Quarterback Aaron Rodgers To Final Four of Madden '12 Cover Vote

By zachkruse

Keep your fingers crossed, but it looks like Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers is on the fact track to becoming the next player to grace the cover of Madden’s NFL video game franchise.

Rodgers took down Patriots running back Danny Woodhead by a margin of 56% to 44, and he moves on to face Browns running back Peyton Hillis in the semi-finals.

Cleveland’s bruising runner convincingly beat Chiefs running back Jamaal Charles in the quarterfinals, but could Hillis possibly take down the Super Bowl MVP?

That looks increasingly unlikely.

Barring a big upset from Hillis, Rodgers will take on either Michael Vick (2004 cover) or Adrian Peterson in the finals.

Vick beat Patrick Willis in the quarterfinals and Peterson easily took down Drew Brees (2011 cover).

If you believe in the Madden curse, now is the time to start voting against Rodgers. But if you don’t believe that a video game cover can affect the luck of an NFL superstar, things look pretty solid for Rodgers being the next Packers quarterback on the cover (Brett Favre 2009).
