This schedule works well in New England’s favor. The first 4 and last 4 games should be Patriot wins meaning they should get at least 8 wins. The Patriots play the Jets and Cowboys at home two teams who rock at pass rushing and have a bye week before they go to Pittsburgh. Then the Patriots host the Giants before traveling to New York to face the Jets. New England hosts the Chiefs, travels to Philadelphia, and hosts the Colts. Anything below 10 wins is considered a failure. I’m not going to underestimate the opponents New England plays, but New England rarely loses coming off bye weeks and the Eagles offense is talented enough to score. Pittsburgh should be a challenge, but New England destroyed them last year and New England will have an extra week to prepare for the Pittsburgh Steelers. New England plays Pittsburgh, the Giants who ruined New England’s 19-0 season a few years ago and the New York Jets on the road in 3 consecutive weeks after a bye week. This will be the test in New England’s schedule. If the Patriots win 2 out of those 3 games they will have home field advantage again.
