Packers Open 2011 Season With New Orleans Saints
Assuming the lockout is figured out in due time, the Green Bay Packers will open their title defense and 2011 season against the New Orleans Saints on Sept. 8 at Lambeau Field to kick off the NFL year.
We hypothesized that the Packers would play either the Saints or the Chicago Bears, but the NFL ultimately decided to match the last two Super Bowl champions. The quarterback showdown between Aaron Rodgers and Drew Brees also makes this an attractive contest.
