ESPN and WKYC Cleveland reported earlier this week that Cleveland Browns quarterback Colt McCoy has arranged a private workout session with his receivers set to take place this weekend. According to the report, Cleveland’s receivers have converged on Austin, Texas in order to meet with the second-year signal caller and get framiliar with the new offensive playbook that has become infamous over the past several weeks.
Josh Cribbs, Mohamed Massaquoi, Carlton Mitchell and Jordan Norwood are all said to be in Texas with McCoy in addition to other Browns players that have not announced their intentions on-line.
Cleveland’s front office has been informed of McCoy’s actions through the media and are pleased that the young man is taking control of his offense. The Browns players are not permitted to enter any team facility or have coaches present at any of the players’ workouts until all of the labor negotiations have officially been completed.
