As Expected, Stefen Wisniewski is an Oakland Raider

The Raiders tried vigorously to trade up and select quarterback Colin Kaepernick, but failed.

So they instead decided to upgrade the interior offensive line and take guard/center Stefen Wisniewski at 48.

Wiz II’s uncle played for the Raiders and earned eight pro bowls, and was recently hired as assistant offensive line coach. I think it’s a great pick for the Raiders. He’s a tough player who has gained some weight and had tremendous coaching at Penn State.

I’m guessing that if quarterback Ryan Mallett is available in round 3, Oakland pulls the trigger.

Also, don’t be surprised if we draft a right tackle. The offensive line is looking like this:

LT- Jared Veldheer  LG-Bruce Campbell  C-Samson Satele  RG-Wisniewski  RT-??
