Despite spending the 12th overall pick in the 2011 NFL Draft on Christian Ponder, many believe the Minnesota Vikings may consider adding another quarterback this offseason while the rookie progresses. One player they can scratch off that list–Tennessee Titans quarterback Vince Young.
NFL.com’s Steve Wyche indicated this week how one of his sources claims Young is not one of the quarterbacks Minnesota is considering this offseason. Numerous quarterbacks–including Donovan McNabb, Matt Hasselbeck, and Kyle Orton–have been linked to the Vikings over the last few months as possible candidates to come on board in 2011, but apparently Young isn’t one of them.
The Titans have already indicated their plans to trade or release Young once the lockout comes to an end after five seasons. He’ll be with a new team in 2011–it just won’t be the Vikings.
