Packers QB Aaron Rodgers Passing Time During Lockout With New Record Label

By Dan Parzych

Over the last three months, numerous players have found different ways to pass the time while waiting for the NFL lockout to end–with some players even taking on different sports. As for Green Bay Packers quarterback and Super Bowl XLV MVP Aaron Rodgers, he’s managed to stay busy with his second passion behind football–the music industry. discussed on Monday how Rodgers just recently shot the first video for his new record label over the weekend with a band from Chico California called The Make–which is Rodgers’ hometown. Rodgers started a record label called Suspended Sunrise Recordings and is excited about taking on the music industry.

“This is the first step in the process,” said Rodgers courtesy of “My business partner and I have been working for a couple of years trying to put this whole thing together. We’re excited about starting the process, to see what happens with this band. Obviously football is my first priority, music is my passion after that.”

As a way to help with the promotion, Rodgers decided to make an appearance in the video for “Get It” himself and even hired dancers that have worked with Justin Bieber and Michael Jackson. After conquering the football world this past season, it appears Rodgers is getting an early start to his post-football career with all of the work he’s put into this new record company. Considering his work ethic, Rodgers should have no problem taking on the music industry and should see plenty of success with his new label.
