Washington Redskins Would Still Sign Donovan McNabb If Given Second Chance

By Bryn Swartz

Washington Redskins general manager Bruce Allen was asked if the team would still sign quarterback Donovan McNabb away from the Philadelphia Eagles if he could go back in time a year.

“We would make the move again to get Donovan,” Allen said. “The 6-10 (record) isn’t what we had dreamed for our season, and I can’t pinpoint one person to blame for that. We have to improve special teams, defense and offense.”

“Donovan’s performance last year was part of the team’s performance. I usually don’t try to single out one player for wins or losses. He was a good captain for us.”

Regardless of Allen’s comments, it is likely that McNabb will not play for the Washington Redskins in the 2011 season.
