Over the last few weeks, it seemed like there was a good chance the Minnesota Vikings could be on the move to Los Angeles. Now, it appears that may not happen after all considering there may already be a deal in place for a new stadium.
Rochelle Olson and Mike Kaszuba of the Star Tribune recently reported that a deal for a new stadium could come as early as late Wednesday after negotiators agreed to cut the cost of the stadium by $200 million from the $1 billion proposal.
Sources reported Wednesday that stadium negotiators had dropped the cost of the $1 billion proposed project by nearly $200 million, the Vikings had upped their contribution from $407 million and the state, Ramsey County and the team had resolved who would own and operate the stadium in suburban Arden Hills.
In addition, they said, an announcement could come later Wednesday.
For all of you Vikings fans–it looks like there’s a good chance your beloved football team may be sticking around in Minnesota after all.
