According to ESPN.com, the lockout in the National Football League has unofficially come to a close, as the players have agreed with the owners on the remaining points in the new collective bargaining agreement.
The players will be voting tomorrow to end the lockout but that part is considered to be a “formality” and the deal is all but official.
NFLPA executive director DeMaurice Smith knows that his players will be voting yes tomorrow, at least enough to pass the new deal.
After the lockout ends tomorrow, players will be allowed to report to team facilities on Wednesday.
Free agency is scheduled to begin on Saturday.
And yes, this will be perhaps the most exciting week in the history of the National Football League.
