David Garrard Injured In Practice
Blaine Gabbert may be thrust into the starting quarterback role quicker than planned.
According to Tania Ganguli of The Florida Times-Union, Jaguars starting quarterback David Garrard was taken off of the practice field on a cart during the team’s Thursday night practice session.
It is unclear what kind of injury Garrard suffered, but he was seen limping on the field before he left practice.
Depending on the severity of Garrard’s injury, Gabbert will likely see increased repetitions with the first-team offense on the practice field. More importantly, Gabbert will likely be featured in the Jaguars annual scrimmage on Saturday night in EverBank Field.
