T.J. Houshmandzadeh Scheduled to Workout With New England Patriots on Monday
After acquiring Chad Ochocinco a few weeks ago, it appears the New England Patriots may be interested in adding another former member of the Cincinnati Bengals–T.J. Houshmandzadeh.
According to Ian Rapoport of the Boston Herald, Houshmandzadeh has a visit and workout with the Patriots scheduled for Monday. Houshmandzadeh spent the 2010 season with the Baltimore Ravens, but only caught 30 passes for 398 yards with three touchdowns. Considering he recorded at least 900 receiving yards in each of the previous six seasons–it’s safe to say last season was a major disappointment for Houshmandzadeh.
If the Patriots do end up bringing Houshmandzadeh on board for the 2011 season, he would reunite Ochocinco–who spent the first eight seasons of his career with Housh in Cincinnati. Then again, with all of the rumors about the possible release of Ochocinco, how ironic would it be if the Patriots replaced him with Houshmandzadeh?
