The NFL hosted the 2011 Supplemental Draft today and the most interesting draft hopeful, by far, was former Ohio State quarterback Terrelle Pryor.
Pryor opted not to return to Ohio State for his senior year following a five game suspension for accepting benefits.
Ironically, he was later suspended for five games by the NFL anyway.
I’ve recently written a couple articles exploring the possibility that the Redskins might take a look at Pryor as he would add another dimension to the roster. I thought his raw size and talent would certainly intrigue the Shanahan’s, but they didn’t take the bait today.
Surprise, surprise. The Oakland Raiders just used their third round pick to take Pryor. They now have one fewer pick in the 2012 NFL draft.
Pryor can’t suit up until week 6 so he’s a long-term project to say the least. Although, with Al Davis, you never know.
Poor Jason Campbell has a new guy to breathe down his neck.
