While injuries are a part of the game things are getting shaky for the Arizona Cardinals. First Ryan Williams is lost for the season and now another important player goes down in Greg Toler.
Toler flew under the radar last season and was a big time play-making corner for the Cardinals last season. During the 2010 season Toler had 90 total tackles, 2 forced fumbles, and 3 interceptions with 1 touchdown.
With Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie in Philly, Richard Marshall new in town and Greg Toler now injured it will be up to rookie Patrick Peterson to make a difference.
While a sprained knee may not keep Toler out for long it is still best to have preparation of replacements. While Peterson is a rookie and Coach Whisenhunt is usually against starting rookies, Peterson may be the clear exception.
Toler and Peterson will make a dynamic duo, that’s not to mention Richard Marshall in the mix as well. While many said the Cardinals couldn’t afford to lose DRC but there are three legitimate players that can rise to the occasion.
Team health is most important so as the team prepares for it’s final pre-season game they must make sure that they can get good word on Greg Toler. The name Greg Toler isn’t one that makes you run to the television but his play-making ability gives opposing coaches a reason to stay up late at night before every game.
