Lions’ Ndamukong Suh Facing Another Fine After Attempting to Punch Patriots’ Logan Mankins?
Detroit Lions defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh has already been fined once this preseason after his unnecessary hit on Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Andy Dalton during the team’s first game a few weeks ago. Now, it appears the Defensive Rookie of the Year could be facing yet another fine after Saturday’s game against the New England Patriots.
As Mike Florio of ProFootballTalk.com points out, Suh threw a punch at Patriots defensive lineman Logan Mankins after trying to break up a scuffle between him and Lawrence Jackson. While Suh’s punch failed to hit Mankins, there’s still a good chance he could be facing another fine from the league–which would give him two fines before the regular season even starts.
Suh was already fined $20,000 for his hit on Dalton and if his reaction to that fine is any indication of what to expect–it should be interesting to see what Suh’s reaction will be this time around if he gets fined again.
