Last season, the Oakland Raiders became the first team in NFL history to sweep their division (6-0) and fail to reach the NFL playoffs. Oakland’s bitter AFC West rivals the San Diego Chargers led the NFL in offense and defense, but also failed to reach the postseason. In other words, the AFC West is unlike any other division in the National Football League. All four teams seemingly hate each other, their fans likewise, which has created extremely intense divisional affairs in the past. With that being said, all signs are pointing to a competitive 2011-12 season in the AFC West, with the Raiders looking to build upon their 8-8 mark of last season.
First year head coach Hue Jackson will be keen on getting the Raiders into the playoffs for the first time since they reached the Super Bowl in 2002-03. Standing in his way, 17 weeks and 16 games of football. Without further ado, here is the 2011-12 schedule for the Oakland Raiders.
