The Packers have been dealing with a bit of an injury bug throughout the preseason, but on Sunday the bug seemed to have subsided as eight players returned to practice after missing time with an injury. The players are: TE Jermichael Finley, DE Mike Neal, WR James Jones and WR Randall Cobb.
The return of Finley and Neal is the best news in awhile for the Packers, both are projected to be in the starting lineup come Thursday when the Packers kick off the NFL season with the Saints. The injuries to Jones and Cobb left the Packers thin at wide receiver, which can always be detrimental to an offense that relies primarily on throwing the football.
Linebacker Frank Zombo and Corner Back Devon House are still out. Zombo is listed on the depth chart as the back up to Erik Walden, and if he is unable to return from injury that is where he will stay.
