The Jaguars could be without two of their top pass catchers on Sunday when they travel to New York to play the Jets.
Somewhat lost behind the concern with Marcedes Lewis’ calf injury has been the fact that Jaguars starting wide receiver Jason Hill has missed both days of practice this week with a hip injury.
While Lewis would be the more significant loss for the Jaguars offense because of his importance in both the passing and rushing attack, Hill did catch four passes for 53 yards against the Titans and is looking to establish himself as Luke McCown’s top downfield target. If Hill plays on Sunday, he would likely be covered by All-Pro cornerback Darrelle Revis and a Jets secondary who Hill called “overhyped.”
From the interview it seems that Hill is confident he will be able to play this weekend, but we won’t know for sure until the injury report comes out on Friday.
